Each Asset Tracking Tool
(ATT) solution
is made up of a Software Interface which extracts data from an
organisation's asset database, and assists the transfer of
data to a hand held
bar code scanning device.
It
will depend on which system you
use for
your financial records as to which Software Interface you may require.
TIG
International can assist you in selecting the correct
Software
Interface.
SAP ERP
The
Asset Tracking Tool interfaces seamlessly with SAP R/3 versions
3.0d through to SAP ECC 6.0, SAP All-In-One and mySAP ERP
systems. Based on TIG International’s BAPI
Certified
Interface technology using Remote Function Call (RFC) to communicate
with SAP in real time, all user level security and auditing is
preserved. The Asset Tracking Tool supports the SAP Asset
Number
or the SAP Inventory Number field. Have a read of the NSW

ORACLE
E-BUSINESS SUITE
The
Asset Tracking Tool interfaces with Oracle E-Business Suite
versions 10 and 11i. Communication to Oracle is achieved
using
the real time Oracle Call Interface (OCI) technology. There
are
two options for updating, using either the standard inventory tables
(FA_INVENTORY and FA_INV_INTERFACE) or a more feature rich
option. The Asset Tracking Tool interfaces will be enhanced
as
the Oracle E-Business Suite moves to Oracle Project Fusion. View
technical information about the ATT Oracle E-Business Suite Interface.
PEOPLESOFT
MYOB
ASSET MANAGER PRO
For
the smaller business, the Asset Tracking Tool interfaces with MYOB
Asset Manager Pro version 3. This system provides small
business
with the same sophistication and efficiencies available to large
corporations for asset management.
ODBC
The
Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) Interface enables the Asset
Tracking Tool software to communicate with asset registers stored in
Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access or other software packages that
support ODBC connections. The SQL can be customised to suit
special requirements. View
technical information about the
ATT
ODBC Interface.
TEXT,
CSV, EXCEL
The
Asset Tracking Tool text file interface provides communication with
Comma Separated Values (CSV) and many other text file
formats.
The text file interface is most commonly used to interface the Asset
Tracking Tool software with Microsoft Excel or an asset register that
supports data export to text files and data imports from text
files. The file formats are customisable to suit the asset
register. View

Text
Interface.
